Erik Salaj from Winsoft has a new wrapper component available for Delphi XE5 Firemonkey on Android that enables OCR functionality in your apps. The wrapper wraps the open source libraries Tesseract and Leptonica. Tesseract claims to be the most accurate open source OCR library and supports 60 different languages and Google has been improving the library since 2006. The wrapper component is a commercial component but it comes with a free trial so you can see if it works in your project before purchasing. The paid version includes full source code. You can individually add different language files to handle the OCR from each language. There is also a Windows and OSX Firemonkey version of the OCR wrapper component from Winsoft. Lastly you can buy the Android OCR wrapper combined with a bunch of other Android wrappers for a lower cost than buying them separately.
