TMS Software has released a new RichEdit component as part of their TMS Pack for Firemonkey. This new component is for Delphi XE7 Firemonkey and Appmethod on Android, IOS, OSX, and Windows. Previously there has not really been a full featured cross platform rich edit component for Firemonkey. Other solutions were only platform native wrapper components. The new TTMSFMXRichEditor component has it’s own RTE format but it also loads text files. It can export to TXT, RTF, HTML, and RTE. It is a full featured text editor with formatting support for bullets, hyperlinks, images, indenting, and aligning paragraphs. Additionally, it has functions for merging, highlighting text, undo/redo, and clipboard operations. TMS Pack for Firemonkey is a massive component pack for Firemonkey so if you need this TTMSFMXRichEditor component you get over 50 other components you can use with it as well. There are special toolbars in the component pack that support the rich edit control. It is a commercial component pack but there is a free trial available.
